What's your New Year's resolution???
Now's the time when people all over the world make special commitments to themselves to make a change and do things differently in the New Year.
Here are a few steps to help keep those resolutions alive through 2009:
- Be committed and come up with a realistic plan to help achieve your goals.
- Be prepared for setbacks and don't let them give up your goals.
- Track your progress every 1-2 weeks to motivate yourself by celebrating your successes.
- Don't make too many resolutions. Pick a realistic, attainable goal within a reasonable timeframe.
Did you know that Bellingham has it's own Polar Dip? Make your resolution official by participating in this year's Resolution Walk/Run & Polar Dip at Lake Padden. It starts at 11am on Jan 1st with a walk or run around the lake and then concludes with a quick (and cold!) dip into Lake Padden. For more info go to www.cob.org.
If you have a special, original or funny resolution, feel free to share it with us by emailing us at jim@fivecolumns.com.

Thank you to the office of Smith & Barney who celebrated their annual holiday party in December. We all enjoyed the festive music from the Bellingham High School quartet that they had performing for them that evening.
