Braised Lamb Shanks served with Greek Spaghetti

Enjoy this already very popular dinner for the whole month of September! We are featuring our tender Braised Lamb Shanks that are slow cooked in many herbs, garlic and a tomato sauce. The lamb is served along side our own Greek Spaghetti that is tossed with Myzithra cheese and a bit of the tomato sauce from the lamb. This dinner includes our house garlic bread and a Greek salad before hand. These lamb shanks are truly "one-of-a-kind"!

A BIG "EFHARISTO" - "THANK YOU!"

The management and staff at Five Columns would like to extend a big "Thank you" to everyone involved in this year's Support Officer Fundraising Dinner. It was another big success! Together, we raised over $6,000 for Support Officer Community Care. This money will directly benefit families in our community experiencing crises.

We had a great time hosting the dinner! Many individuals contributed to this successful fundraiser including the Bellingham Police Department, Bellingham Fire Department, Whatcom County Sherriff's Office, US Border Patrol, US Customs, Washington State Patrol, Ferndale Police Department, Support Officer Community Care, and of course, everyone who generously donated and attended the event!

We look forward to next year's fundraiser as we continue to work together for a stronger community!

America's Most Expensive Commute Cities

Forbes.com has compiled a list of the costliest cities to commute in and Houston, Texas takes the cake! There, the average commuter spends 20.9% of their annual costs just getting to work! Other cities that made their list include Cleveland, Detroit, Tampa, Kansas City and Cincinnati. For commuters in those cities, transportation costs make up a fifth or more of their household costs.
